Question: I’d like to know if I should completely cut off my ex or try again. And also what is it, if anything, is he hiding?

What you should do is your choice. Your ex is a real soul mate. He’s here to help you learn a spiritual lesson, like how to enforce your own personal boundaries. If I tell you what to do, then you won’t learn the lesson.
As far as what he’s hiding, Spirit sees an employment problem. He may not be working full-time. Or he may not be working at all.
