Question: I was recently asked to resign from a toxic work environment where I was constantly and unfairly on the receiving end of the owners wrath. He told me that I would be given a fairly decent severance check in addition to my pay up to the day I “resign” if I sign a contract stating I won’t file a lawsuit, claim, or have disparaging words about them. I have a 7 day time frame to accept this offer. I’m leaning towards not accepting it. Should I accept the offer or consider a lawsuit for hostile treatment and wrongful termination?
Answer from da Boss:
Hi, robinbyrd81!
Think about it. What does “fairly decent” mean? How can you consider an offer when they actually haven’t made you an offer yet?
Saturn, the ruler of careers, is at a very good place in your chart, and his rewards will continue for over 2 years. So it’s possible that a legal situation will settle in your favor.
Spirit says talk to an attorney. They will give you much better advice than a psychic. (In fact she sees good news coming from the attorney.)
