Question: Hiya! Will my son be able to stay at the school he is located right now. I’m fighting for it as I’m having another school with a somewhat similar program intervening. He is in special education and I don’t want them to disrupt his education. Thank you!

Answer from da Boss:

Hi, sassykat801!

Spirit says the schools will respect your wish not to transfer him. However, Spirit feels you may not be seeing the big picture. First off, she says talk to your son. He may actually want to change schools. Also, she feels you are not seeing the good parts of the other school. And she feels you may end up regretting this decision in the long run. She suggests you take some time to make sure you are doing the right thing.

  • Thanks Boss. The other school interfering has a special education supervisor of the child study team that is totally obnoxious, did under handed things because she thinks I’m a pushover. Maybe I’m letting that get in the way. One school is a private school the other has a program in the high school which I thought was a step backwards and they aren’t up to date on technology. I will try to move from the situation and take a step back.

    • Hey, Victoria. Sorry I did not reply sooner. Even though Spirit feels you aren’t seeing the big picture, stand your ground. Trust your instincts, and if down the road you realize things could be better, you can always readjust.
