Question: Something that’s weighing heavily on me is my marriage. We’ve been through a lot together, and I’m still deeply committed, but lately it feels like my husband has emotionally checked out. He’s distant, barely communicates, and doesn’t show much affection or appreciation. I keep putting in effort because I love him and want things to get better, but I’m starting to wonder if he’s just staying out of convenience or habit, not love. Can you tell me if there’s still love there on his side? Is there hope for our marriage to become strong and fulfilling again—or has he already decided in his heart that he’s done, and just hasn’t told me? I need clarity so I know whether to keep fighting for us or start accepting a different path.

It’s not unusual for love to wane and wax again as a relationship grows. And I’ve had many women tell me that later in life, the love becomes very rich again. And if there’s children at home, that will always bring restrictions to the love between the partners.
