Question: My son Brayden passed away this past October. I need to know if he forgives me for not being there… and if he’s ok? Does he know how much I loved him?

Answer from da Boss:

Hi, Jaxlee!

I’m so very sorry for your loss. There’s nothing worse than losing a child.

Spirit says that Brayden doesn’t feel that you did anything wrong that needs to be forgiven. He understands that you couldn’t be there. And he’s very, very sorry that he got called back to Heaven so soon. Brayden misses you very much, and he watches over you constantly.

Brayden says that you need to stop punishing yourself. Guilt and shame will only bring you more pain. Do what you can to celebrate his life and stop focusing on his death.

“In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions. When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?” Gabriel Roth
